An article, co-written by the Helen Bamber Foundation’s Medical and Research Director, Prof. Cornelius Katona, has recently been published in the journal Psychological Medicine. The article, “When trust is lost: the impact of interpersonal trauma on social interactions”, investigates the idea that people with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder may find it more difficult to trust other people. This will contribute towards innovations in treatments for people experiencing complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, as many of our clients do.
We are lucky to be involved with some fantastic research thanks to the experience and expertise of our research staff here and their collaborations with others in the field of psychological medicine.
