Seeking Asylum

at The Tabernacle on December 10, 2015 in London, England. On Human Rights Day, Emma Thompson, President of the Helen Bamber Foundation, and Colin Firth join survivors of torture and the charity's refugee choir Woven Gold at an event to explore the human stories behind the statistics.

This event will explore why survivors of extreme human cruelty, including torture and human trafficking, come to the UK seeking safety. In conversation with our Patrons, we will hear stories from Refugees who have been through the asylum journey and who are now, with the help of the Helen Bamber Foundation, rebuilding their lives.

The evening will also include music by the Helen Bamber Foundation’s Refugee Choir, Woven Gold.
