Annual Autumn Auction

In October 2010 and October 2011, we were lucky enough to collaborate with generous stakeholders on two fundraising auctions.
Christies, London, October 11th 2010
Our auction was hosted by Emma Thompson at Christie’s Auction House, Westminster.
Lots included artworks by Anish Kapoor, Sam Taylor-Wood, and Sally Mann, and experiences including a Paul McCartney VIP concert and a Nobu dinner for 6 with Hugh Grant. A generous audience raised nearly £100,000 to help men, women and children who have survived gross human rights violations. The night was kindly sponsored by Don Rosenfeld and Christies Auction House.
86 St. James, London, October 3rd 2011
We were lucky enough to receive the help of HBF trustee Tricia Pank and fundraiser Joan Bozoky.
Hosted by Helen Bamber OBE, Emma Thompson & with comedienne Jo Brand as compère, the auction included a ‘Lot 17 – providing services to care for a trafficking survivor for one year’. £1,600 covers the cost of therapy, movement classes, legal advocacy and art programme classes. Foundation staff were moved by the enthusiastic response from bidders. The generous audience raised over £27,000 to help our direct action work with survivors of torture, trafficking, and other human rights violations.
